Hi everyone! My name is Marisa Thompson and I will be teaching chemistry and physics next year. Previously I worked as a teacher at the high school and middle school level, as a research chemist, and as a tutor. I am excited to join Veritas to pass down a love of learning and properly orient education so it can be a means of communion with Jesus. One of my favorite Bible verses is 2 Corinthians 2:9-10: "Things which eye has not seen and ear has not heard, and which have not entered the heart of man, all that God has prepared for those who love Him. For to us God revealed them through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God." When I'm not teaching, I love reading books out loud, becoming friends with common lawn weeds, and playing with my three kids.
