Katherine Steinkamp

European Literature, Rhetoric II, Rhetoric IV Teacher

Mrs. Katherine Steinkamp is a Christ-follower and teacher for 27 years. She happily lives her life in the Mid-Western USA, among corn and cows! Her life as a teacher has taken to many places: West Africa, Thailand, Europe, all over the US, including Alaska and Hawaii. She has taught every type of social studies class (including many Advanced Placement subjects), and she has directed drama, speech and debate, mock trial, and writing. She has been married to her husband, Phil, for over 25 years. She has a diverse family of 2 biological children and others she’ve “adopted” who live all over the world. She has several grandchildren as well. She has two Cocker Spaniels that bring her great happiness. She own a rental costume shop, she has been involved in stage theatre for over 20 years. She teaches Sunday School, volunteer at a Christian camp, and takes care of her husband.

She enjoy classical education because she believes it IS the process of learning, which never stops.  Classical education prepares students to both receive and communicate  information vital to their worldview while understanding and appreciating other people and cultures.
