One way to describe classical education is by the concept of trivium: grammar, logic, and rhetoric. These three terms describe both the three stages and the three aspects of a classical education. At Veritas Classical Academy, grade levels are split into these three stages. In Grammar School, a student will travel from Kindergarten to 6th grade, learning and mastering the fundamental rules of each subject. In Logic School, 7th and 8th graders will order the relationship of particulars in each subject. In Rhetoric School, 9th through 12th grade students will learn how the grammar and logic of each subject may be clearly expressed.
