I hold a B.A. in Social Policy Analysis and Data Science, and a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) from Rice University. My teaching background includes secondary math—ranging from Algebra 1 to Pre-Calculus—at both Energy Institute High School and YES Prep Public Schools in Houston, Texas.
After my time in the public school system, I returned to California searching for a Christ-centered school community. I am humbled and honored to join the Veritas team because I believe that it is ultimately through Classical Christian education that we can raise up the child holistically and train them to honor God biblically. In the classroom I am passionate about helping every student to overcome any fears about math while cultivating curiosity, wonder, and confidence in their mathematical reasoning skills.
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy bouldering, playing basketball, and being in the great outdoors. My favorite Bible verse is Psalm 19:1: The heavens declare of the glory of God, and the sky above proclaim of his handiwork.” I look forward to investing in students and discipling them in their walk with Christ
