Rose Yoon

Girl's Discipleship

I graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in Elementary Education. I taught third through sixth grade at two Christian schools before serving as a missionary in China for four years with my husband. After returning to the United States, I taught at two Christian preschools before beginning the rewarding journey of homeschooling my two children. I have also served in children’s ministry, teaching Sunday School for five years and AWANA for seven years.


Today, I serve as a sixth-grade small group teacher at my church, where I have the privilege of discipling the same group of girls through eighth grade. At Veritas, I look forward to discipling girls from fifth grade through high school. I love classical Christian education because it allows us to pursue truth and wisdom while continually pointing students to Jesus. I believe the Lord has invited me to join Him in His work of discipling young women, and it is an honor to serve Him and His children in this way.


I have two children in ninth and fifth grades. I enjoy meaningful conversations with family and friends, playing worship music, crocheting, and pickleball. I also facilitate Biblical purity retreats for moms and daughters. One of my favorite passages is Ephesians 3:16–21. Verse 20 says: “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine.”
