Veritas House Program
At Veritas, we seek to build up the wisdom and virtue (character) of individual students within the context of a communal life. Our House system is designed to help build smaller communities within the larger school community so that all may experience a life together in Christ, and grow in faith, friendship, and charity. The larger context of the house system is the biblical vision of training up our students in their cultural life, much of which is their time spent at school. With that in mind, the structure, ethos, and activities of the house system is designed to provide students maximum opportunities to put their faith into action in the communal cultural life at school.
COMMUNITY
Veritas desires to foster a Christ-centered community and culture in all that we do, as a part of biblical mandate to train up children in the paideia of the Lord.
TEAMWORK
The four houses develop a sense of team, a community within a community, in practicing genuine love, doing life together in Christ, and spurring one another in doing good.
FRIENDSHIP
Our House Program provides maximum opportunities for students to form genuine friendship both among their peers as well as students from different ages.
STUDENT LEADERSHIP
One of the strengths of Houses is that it provides students opportunities to develop servant leadership, for those who are elected as well as for every member of the house.
PARENT
SUPPORT
In view of building a Christ-centered culture at home in addition to at school, House events provide opportunities for parents to volunteer and support student endeavors.
